Course description
This training is part of the basic training of every member of a professional fire brigade, so that they can work in areas at risk of falling and can also be used to support members of special rescue units, for example in providing material and assistance in preparing for an operation. The scope of the training generally depends on the operational tasks assigned to the fire department and the devices and equipment required for them.
This training does not qualify you to work as a height rescuer.
Content
- accident protection,
- Legal basis (fire service regulations, accident prevention regulations, etc.),
- Equipment knowledge (fall protection equipment set DIN 14800-17 and equipment set for ascending and descending devices DIN 14800-16, each in the current version),
- Rope knowledge, knot knowledge, knot training,
- anchor points (attachment points),
- Securing in areas at risk of falling (setting up safety chains for restraint/holding and catching),
- saving people,
- Self-rescue.
